Distinguishing Features
Tritomaria polita is anomalous amongst its genus in having symmetrically 3-lobed leaves with rounded lobe tips. The predominantly subalpine plants themselves grow as short, ascending, yellow-green leafy shoots to 1.5 cm long and 3 mm wide, with leaves wider than long. Underleaves are absent, and angular purple-brown gemmae are frequently present.
